Bobby Napier

Bobby was born in Decatur Illinois and moved to Texas at five years old. He started playing violin at 10 years old and went to college at the University of Texas on a violin scholarship but quit and became a jazz guitar major.
Bobby played with Tommy Overstreet in 1979 when he moved to Nashville and started traveling the world in a five piece band. In 1989 -91 Bobby played in Tammy Wynette's band and following his run with Tammy he became the featured Fiddler at the Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach from 1991 until 1996. Following that he was featured at the Alabama theater for 16 years.
Bobby is presently playing and working with Northfolk Southern Lawman and now, at last Forty Mile Detour.
